Burghul bi Jibn
Cracked Wheat with Cheese
- 2 Onions sliced
- 3 Tbsp. Oil
- 3 Cups Cracked wheat
- 1/2-3/4 lb. Halumi cheese cut into small cubes
- 3 oz. Butter cut into small pieces
- Salt and pepper
Fry onions until golden. Add cracked wheat and 4 1/2 cups of boiling water.
Season with salt and pepper and stir well.
Cook on very low heat with lid on for 10 - 15 minutes or until water has been absorbed and cracked wheat is tender.
Mix cheese and butter and heat through until the cheese is soft.
