We were skeptical when we saw this. The egg white addition made the final texture VERY pleasant. Great dessert or palate cleanser.
Lemon Water Ice Or Sorbet
- 1 1/4 cups Sugar
- 2 cups Water
- 2/3 cup Lemon or Lime Juice
Boil sugar and water for 5mins or until sugar is dissolved.
Let cool and stir in juice of choice.
Pour into a ice cube tray and freeze, covered.
Take frozen cubes and blend in food processor to a fine slush.
Pour into serving bowl and return to freezer for 15-30 min before serving.
To Make Sorbet
After you blend the ice cubs, fold in 2 stiffly beaten egg whites (think meringue) and return to freezer.
This would be the PERFECT dish for a hot summer day.
