Bukharan Fried Fish with Galic and Coriander Sauce
- 4-6 Garlic cloves
- 1 Cup Coriander finely chopped
- 4 Fish steaks hake, cod, haddock, halibut, or other firm white fish
- 4 Slices White bread
- Oil for frying
Pound garlic in a mortar with a bit of salt and add chopped coriander and. Beat in about 1 cup of water.
Salt fish on both sides and dust with flour. Deep fry in medium hot oil for 5-10 minutes, until done and browned on both sides.
Drain fish and in same oil, fry slices of bread until brown.
Serve fish on toast with garlic coriander sauce on top.
